Annual Day on the Town Saturday, July 27

It's the day downtown Birmingham goes on sale. This year, Saturday, July 27, is Day On The Town, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and it's the day with the best sales and deals and most fun in the downtown area.

Find deeply discounted merchandise from over 60 retailers, food trucks, chalk art displays, kids’ activities courtesy of Tree Runner, and more in stores and throughout the streets and sidewalks of downtown Birmingham. Shop ‘til you drop for clothing, shoes and accessories up to 70 percent off from premium retailers, including Caruso Caruso, Craig Ryan Fine Menswear, Evereve, Found Objects, Gazelle Sports, Lil’ Rascals, Roots, Sterr & Doon, Viga Boutique, TENDER, State and Liberty, SAINT CROIX, and many more. Explore furniture, linens and home décor from West Elm, Kohler, Urban Wick Candle Bar, and others. Shop beautiful and unique jewelry from Crimson Rose Antiques, Radiant Made for Us, Grinstein Jewelry & Design and more. Visit some of the Birmingham Shopping District’s newest businesses including Warby Parker, Eileen Fisher, The Baby Bar, Rowan and ChocoMania. Discounted beauty and personal care items can also be found throughout the event from Legato Salon & Spa, Todd’s Room, Paint Nail Bar, Skin House, Zahra, and others.

Food trucks serving up frozen treats, burgers and lobster will be available throughout the event. From 1-3 p.m., join Kevin from Channel 955’s Mojo in the Morning, as they go live from the Channel 955 Ice Cream Truck, powered by BIGGBY Coffee. Stop by and register to win free coffee for a year from BIGGBY and get free Browndog Creamery Ice Cream (while supplies last).

“This is the day that shoppers look forward to all year. We encourage people to check out sales at the many retailers and to complete their day with a meal on the patio of one of our great restaurants or a nice walk through the park,” said Birmingham Shopping District Operations and Events Manager Jaimi Brook. “Be sure to get here early to find the best deals.”
