Arrest made at Target for merchandise theft

Bloomfield Township police made an arrest for theft of merchandise at the Target store, 2400 S. Telegraph, on Wednesday, May 13.


Police were called to the store and when officers arrived, at about 6 p.m. the suspect was still on scene with Target loss employees.prevention employees, according to the police report.


Employees stated that the suspect entered the store, selected a few items of clothing as well as a black purse, then entered the self-check out area. The suspect did not pay for the items and left the store. The items stolen were valued at $59.


Loss prevention employees stated the same individual was also responsible for three other separate retail fraud’s at their store. The suspect was issued a citation for retail fraud third degree and released from the scene.
