Arrest made for attempted home break-in

Bloomfield Township Police Department on Saturday, June 21, made an arrest for attempted home invasion first degree.
At 1:40 a.m. the Bloomfield Township Police Department received a 911 call from a resident stating a man was trying to break into the front door of their home in the Quarton Road-Lahser Road area.
The victim reported that the man, dressed in all black, was stabbing his door with a knife and attempting to kick it in.
When officers arrived on scene they located Peter Chan-Woong Chung on the front porch of the home. Officers located the knife Chung was stabbing the door with on a window ledge near the front door. The door jam was splintered and the door sustained well over an estimated $1000 in damages.
Chung was placed under arrest and was arraigned the next day in the 48th district court where a $25,000 cash/surety/10 per cent bond was set. Chung is due back in court on July 3.
