Arrests made for thefts at Dick’s Sporting Goods

Two men suspected of taking items from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Bloomfield Township on Wednesday, August 6, have been arrested and arraigned in court.
The Bloomfield Township Police Department at approximately 1 p.m. was dispatched to a retail fraud that had just occurred at the Telegraph store. According to police, two Black male suspects entered the store and grabbed multiple pieces of Nike merchandise, went to the fitting room and left the store with the merchandise concealed.
The suspects were seen leaving the area in a blue Chrysler minivan. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The two suspects, identified as Aaron Jamal Dalton, a 30-year-old male out of Detroit, and Louis Perri McShan, a 28-year-old male out of Detroit, were placed under arrest. The stolen merchandise, totaling $369.99, was recovered from inside the vehicle and returned to Dick’s Sporting Goods. A five-inch folding knife was also recovered from Dalton’s property.
The case was sent to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office which reviewed it and issued the following charges: Dalton, one count carrying a concealed weapon, one count retail fraud second degree, and one count driving while license suspended; and McShan, one count retail fraud second degree.
Both individuals were arraigned at the 48th District Court. Dalton was issued a $25,000 cash bond (no 10%) and McShan was issued a $10,000 cash bond (no 10%). They are due back in court next week.
