Auto theft suspect arrested hours after driving off

The Bloomfield Township Police Department on Monday, May 5, took a report for unlawful driving away of an automobile from 1501 S. Opdyke Road Mobil Gas Station, although the suspected driver of the vehicle was arrested hours later.
The victim told police they parked their black 2015 Buick Verano, unlocked and running, near the main entrance of the gas station while they went inside.
While the victim was inside he saw his vehicle drive off. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a red Adidas zip up hoodie and faded blue jeans.
The vehicle was recovered a few hours later by another jurisdiction on a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Christopher Henthron, 38-years-old from Gibraltar. Henthron was arrested and the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office issued charges against him.
Henthron was arraigned by on Friday, May 9, before 48th District Court Magistrate Nelson-Klein who set a bond of $20,000.
