Backpack stolen from vehicle in garage

A backpack was stolen on Tuesday, January 18, from an unlocked vehicle parked inside a Birmingham garage in the 600 block of Davis Street, Birmingham police said.

The victim told officers her backpack was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in her open garage.

Police said a delivery driver reported seeing a White man in his early 20s wearing a hoodie and mask park on the street and enter the garage. The man then returned to his vehicle with the backpack and left the area.

The incident is under investigation.
