Bakehouse46 moving to W. Maple in Birmingham

By Lisa Brody

Bakehouse46, currently located at 136 N. Old Woodward Avenue in downtown Birmingham, is moving its fresh cider doughnuts, apple cider and other baked goods down the street to 250 W. Maple Road, in the former Adventures in Toys location.

Bakehouse46 is a match made in heaven for two east-side Michigan companies, formed when Cupcake Station and Blake Farms partnered up to provide a collaborative culinary experience, opening the Birmingham location in February 2020. There are now three Bakehouse46 locations – besides Birmingham, there are Rochester and Ann Arbor locations.

Bakehouse46 offers breakfast, brunch and light lunch options along with their signature cider and donuts, cupcakes, muffins, bagels and other sweet treats, along with coffee drinks. They will continue to serve their popular items at their new Birmingham location, which is forecast to open in January, according to landlord Jim Esshaki. His office said the new space is about 2,100 square feet, will have a bakery counter, indoor seating, and should have a few outdoor tables in the spring and summer months.
