BBAC Holiday Shop, Shop & Champagne party

The holiday season would not be complete without the Holiday Shop, now in its 44th year, hosted by the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC) starting December 5-20, following a special sneak preview party, Shop & Champagne, scheduled for December 4, at the facility located at 1516 Cranbrook Road in Birmingham.

The Holiday Shop offers one-of-a-kind handmade gift items from more than 200 juried artists, including ceramics, jewelry, home goods and décor, fiber wearables, glassware, stationary and greeting cards, candles, soaps, tiles, paintings, ornaments, Judaica, men’s gifts, baby and children’s toys and clothing, the always-popular, “Mug Wall” and more.

Open to the public at no charge, the Holiday Shop, in which more than 3,000-square-feet of BBAC gallery space is transformed into a unique boutique, is open Mondays -- Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.

The Shop & Champagne preview party, now in its 21st year, is a ticketed event that includes sparkling beverages, gourmet strolling supper and early-access to the Holiday Shop. The event, considered by many as the highlight social event of the holiday season, includes complimentary valet parking and a 10-percent discount on all purchases made that evening.

To purchase tickets to the popular preview party, visit BBArtCenter.org or call 248.644.0866. Tickets to the preview party are $90 in advance; $125 at the door (if available).

All Holiday Shop and Shop & Champagne proceeds benefit working artists and the BBAC’s ArtAccess and education programs.
