The biggest retail event in the city of Birmingham -- the annual Day On The Town sale event – is happening this Saturday, July 26.
This popular event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. is considered the biggest and most exciting retail event of the year at which visitors can find deeply discounted merchandise from over 60 retailers, food trucks, and more in stores and throughout the streets and sidewalks of downtown Birmingham.
Discounts up to 70 percent will be available at premium retailers, including those offering clothing and accessories, jewelry, furniture and personal care items.
Adding to the festivities, food trucks will be on site serving up sweet treats and other food items for purchase. From 12 – 2 p.m., head to the Channel 955 Ice Cream Truck for complimentary ice cream (while supplies last).
From 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., the Birmingham Police Department will host its annual Open House event along Pierce and Martin Streets, with entertainment for all ages, including a variety of hands-on activities and demonstrations.
“Each year, shoppers travel from across the region to visit Birmingham for the Day On The Town. It’s a wonderful time to see all that downtown Birmingham has to offer and we invite everyone to stay the day with us to shop, dine and enjoy the festivities,” said Birmingham Shopping District Operations and Events Manager Jaimi Brook. “Be sure to get here early to find the best deals.”
