Birmingham fire collecting for Toys for Tots
In order to make a lot more kids' holiday a joyous one, the community is invited to participate in the Birmingham Fire Department’s annual Toys for Tots collection by donating new, unwrapped toys through Monday, December 19, for boys and girls of all ages.
For more than 20 years, the Birmingham Fire Department has been partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation in their mission to provide a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children during the holidays. The annual holiday toy drive has become a long standing tradition at the Birmingham Fire Department.
“The generosity of the Birmingham community never ceases to amaze me this time of year. Through their abundance of donations, we are able to provide an impressive shipment of new toys to Toys for Tots. We greatly appreciate everyone's efforts supporting such a great charity," said Birmingham Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Bartalino.
Now through Monday, December 19, the community is invited to participate in this long-standing tradition by donating new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls of all ages. Contactless donations will be accepted at both firehouses, Station 1 and Station 2. Station 1 is located at 572 South Adams Road (between Hazel Street and Bowers Street) and Station 2 is located at 1600 West Maple Road (between Fairfax Street and Chesterfield Street).
