Birmingham golf courses get ready to open

The city of Birmingham's two nine-hole golf courses, Lincoln Hills Golf Course and Springdale Golf Course, are getting ready to welcome golfers for the season, with Lincoln Hills scheduled to open Thursday, April 1, and Springdale soon after, weather depending.

Rated as two of the top golf courses in Oakland County, both offer a nine-hold course that is picturesque, challenging and fun, offering a quick round of golf for those on the go. Adaptive golf carts are available at both courses.

Golfers who sign up now can take advantage of an early sign-up promotion. Birmingham residents will receive a complimentary green fee, valid through May 31, and non-residents will receive $25 off their membership fee. Those interested can sign up at Lincoln Hills Golf Course, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the weeks of March 15 - 19 and March 22 - 26. Lincoln Hills Golf Course is located at 2666 West 14 Mile Rd in Birmingham.

Once again this season, Lincoln Hills will offer its Juniors Golf program from June 14 – August 5. Golfers ages six to 16 can learn the fundamentals of golf and improve their skills through a variety of instruction options. Online registration will open for both residents and non-residents on May 1.
