Birmingham loses long-time business member

The Birmingham business community has lost a long-time member with the death on Monday, June 9, of Cheryl Daskas of Tender, the high-end fashion boutique.


A former model, Cheryl Daskas, age 72, spent a number of years as an active board member of the Birmingham Shopping District and 32 years as an owner of the women’s boutique with her sister, Karen Daskas.


Friends can pay their respects at the A.J. Desmond and Sons funeral home, 32515 Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, June 12.


A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. this Friday, June 13, at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church,760 W. Wattles Road in Troy. Visitation at the church begins at 9 a.m.
