Birmingham traffic stop leads to arrest
A traffic stop for speed on Woodward Avenue near Maywood in Birmingham ended with a 23-year-old from Bloomfield Hills being arrested after police discovered he had an arrest warrant from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
Birmingham police reported that an officer stopped the car on Friday, November 17, around 8 p.m. for speeding on northbound Woodward. After checking the driver's ID, the office found the sheriff’s arrest warrant for a probation violation.
The driver was arrested, per Birmingham police, and given a citation for speeding, then transferred to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
