Bloomfield Township police on February 17 were able to track down an indecent exposure suspect on February 17 who was reported by a teenage girl.

Police were dispatched at 11:45 a.m. to the Bloomfield Plaza at the southwest corner of Maple Road and Telegraph Road for a male subject in a blue Ford F150 who exposed himself to the 14-year-old female.

The male subject left the area heading southbound on Telegraph Road prior to the officers’ arrival. According to the 14-year-old victim, the suspect was seated inside the F150 masturbating and his genitals were exposed. The victim contacted her older sister, who was in a nearby business, to report the incident. As the victim’s sister walked toward the F150, the suspect drove off while still masturbating.

Officers on scene were able to review video surveillance from nearby businesses. Using the video and a partial license plate provided by the victim, officers were able to develop a suspect vehicle. This case was turned over to the Bloomfield Township Police Investigations Unit which was able to identify the suspect as Kruze Detorrian Jelks, a 35-year-old male out of Pontiac. Further investigation showed that Jelks was currently on a tether due to being on parole for criminal sexual conduct 1st degree and the tether information put him in the area during the time of this incident.

The case was forwarded to the Oakland County Prosecutors Office which issued a one-count warrant for aggravated indecent exposure, a two-year misdemeanor.

On March 24 the Bloomfield Township Police Department took Jelks into custody on the warrant. He was arraigned on March 25, 2026 at the 48th District Court in front of the Judge D’Agostini and was given a $75,000 cash bond, no 10%.
