Brawlers at 220 Merrill asked to leave restaurant

A fight between family members dining together at 220 Merrill restaurant in Birmingham on Sunday, July 31, was resolved when police arrived and the individuals involved were asked to leave.

Around 8:30 p.m., the restaurant, located at 220 Merrill Street, contacted Birmingham police regarding a fight in progress. Witnesses reported that a fight broke out between family members who were arguing while dining at the restaurant. One individual was described as the aggressor, although two family members were involved.

Both individuals were ultimately asked to leave the premises by police at the request of the restaurant's staff.

One individual was issued a citation for disorderly conduct by police.
