Camera stolen from car in Pierce Street garage

A valet worker noticed a car had been broken into on the fourth floor of the Pierce Street parking structure in downtown Birmingham around 9 a.m. on Sunday, August 20.

The worker reported to police that they had parked the car in the structure on Saturday, August 19, and noticed the back passenger window was smashed when they returned the next morning.

The owner of the vehicle said the only thing missing was a camera, worth about $1,500, which was stolen from the back seat.

Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
