Car stolen from driveway on Smith Avenue

A Birmingham woman living on the 500 block of Smith Avenue reportedly had her car stolen from her driveway sometime during the night between Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 27.

She told Birmingham police that she had left the keys inside the car which was unlocked. Police reported that witnesses had seen two men walk up to the driveway around 2 a.m., get into the car and drive away.

An investigation is ongoing, police report.
