Car stolen from home on Mohegan Street

A 47-year-old Birmingham resident reported her vehicle was stolen overnight on Thursday, December 29.

The victim stated that her vehicle was locked, and both sets of keys were in her possession at the time it was stolen.

A neighbor reported seeing three males coming from the direction of the victim’s residence on the 500 block of Mohegan Street, and they appeared to be checking vehicles in the driveway, eventually getting access into one unlocked vehicle and looking inside.

The GPS tracker from the stolen vehicle showed the car was in Madison Heights. An investigation is ongoing, according to Birmingham police.
