A Birmingham resident living on the 800 block of Hazel Street woke up to a missing car on Tuesday, July 22, after someone had stolen it from his home overnight.
The resident reported to Birmingham police that he left the car unlocked with the key fob in the center console, but luckily police were able to use OnStar to track the car to Detroit and have it recovered.
Birmingham police says they are still investigating the theft.
