Chainsaws stolen out of tree service vehicle

Birmingham police officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Westchester Way on Tuesday, September 13, where several chainsaws were stolen from a tree service vehicle.

Upon arriving at the scene, the owner of a tree service company told officers that several chainsaws were stolen from his crew’s vehicles while they were working in the area. A witness reported seeing a suspect, described as a black male in his 30’s-40’s, approximately five-feet, eight inches to six feet tall, pulling on the crew’s vehicle handles before leaving the area.

The police department states there are no additional witnesses or suspects at this time. They are continuing to investigate.
