A 25-year-old employee of a cleaning service is being investigated by Birmingham police for allegedly stealing over $900, a lost-and-found bracelet and a credit card from a business she was cleaning overnight at the 2000 block of Cole.

Birmingham police report that the manager called around 8 a.m. the morning of Thursday, February 5, after finding the items were missing. All three of the items reported stolen were kept in a locked safe, which police say witnesses confirmed the woman was seen opening.

Birmingham police reported that a similar theft took place in December, but there were no suspects at that time. They say an investigation is ongoing.
