Coat, coins stolen from unlocked car

A Bloomfield Township woman told police her winter coat and about $5 in coins were stolen overnight on Thursday, January ,7 or Friday, January 8, in the 7000 block of Deep Run Drive.


Police said the victim believes the theft happened sometime between sunset and sunrise. She admitted her vehicle was likely left unlocked.


Detectives said the public is strongly encouraged to lock their vehicles and to not leave valuables in an unattended car.


Bloomfield Township police are investigating.
