Comerica Bank in Bloomfield Township robbed

The Comerica Bank branch at 43332 Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Township was robbed on Thursday, October 12, at approximately 12:15 p.m. when a female bank robber came in, passed the teller a note and left with a sum of cash before police found and arrested her.


Bloomfield Township police were dispatched to the Comerica Bank location after bank employees reported a female suspect entered the bank and passed the teller a note stating she was robbing the bank and asked for money with no dye. The teller handed over a sum of cash, and the suspect left the bank on foot.


Police immediately responded to the area and were able to locate the suspect. She was taken into custody without incident and the money was recovered.


Bloomfield Township police report they contacted the FBI, who responded to the scene.


The suspect will remain in custody pending charges and arraignment.
