Copper wire stolen from DTE Energy facility

About 200 feet of copper wire was stolen during an overnight burglary on Friday, July 9, at a DTE Energy facility in the 1900 block of Orchard Lake Road, police said.

Bloomfield Township police said a supervisor at the building reported that an intruder entered the facility sometime between 11:30 p.m. on July 9 and 12:15 a.m. on July 10. About 200 feet of number 2 copper wire was taken.

Employees observed the suspected burglar hiding and chased him from the property.

The case is under investigation. Police ask anyone with information to contact Bloomfield Township police detectives at 248.433.7755.
