Corn Festival at Farmers Market this Sunday
August means fresh corn right off the cob. And if you have a hankering for fresh Michigan corn, you'll find bushels full at the Birmingham Farmers Market on Sunday, August 6, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., during the annual Corn Festival.
The Corn Festival offers bountiful peak-season produce – including corn that was picked just hours before the Birmingham Farmers Market opened – farm-fresh eggs, artisan baked goods, and other delicious offerings from more than 50 vendors.
There will be loads of activities for the whole family, including fresh roasted corn, which is delicious to eat right there at the market; a petting zoo; live music; a tractor, which is perfect for all kinds of photo ops; food trucks; and a kids' zone craft area.
The Birmingham Farmers Market is located in Public Parking Lot 6 at 660 North Old Woodward Avenue. Market hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday, May through October. Convenient, free parking is available near the market in municipal structures and on-street.
