Costly u-turn for male driver in Birmingham

A 30-year-old male from Southfield, completing a prohibited u-turn near northbound Old Woodward and Hamilton in Birmingham, ended up arrested on outstanding warrants.

On Monday, September 8, at about 1 a.m. stopped the driver after watching him make a prohibited u-turn.

Officers initiated their emergency lights and completed a traffic stop. Officers made contact with the suspect and learned that he had multiple outstanding warrants from other cities, including Royal Oak.

The suspect was placed under arrest and transferred to the Royal Oak Police Department.
