A Birmingham woman’s credit card was stolen from her car and used shortly after in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 28, after parking her car in her driveway in the 700 block of Chesterfield.

The woman told Birmingham police officers that she parked her car the afternoon before and went inside without locking it. She noticed in the morning that her credit card had been used at a gas station around 3 a.m., which would align with witness statements that police reported.

Police said that two suspects were seen attempting to open cars in the area around 2 a.m. before breaking into the woman’s car and an investigation is ongoing.
