Cultural Council awards reception next week

The Cultural Council of Birmingham Bloomfield will be presenting its annual awards at a reception next Friday, October 3, at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC).


Those being recognized include Bryan Frink – A Musical Driving Force – receiving the Cultural Arts Award; Robert Schefman – Broadsdtroke Bard – Lifetime Achievement Award; and the Birmingham Musicale – Partners with the Arts Award.


This will be the 30th year for the annual awards from the Cultural Council of Birmingham Bloomfield.


The event next week runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The BBAC is located at 1516 S. Cranbrook Road in Birmingham.


The Cultural Arts Awards are sponsored by the Cultural Council of Birmingham Bloomfield, in conjunction with the Birmingham Bloomfield Arts Center, Bloomfield Community Television, Downtown Newsmagazine and The Community House.
