After buying gas at a gas station on the 100 block of E. 14 Mile in Birmingham the night of Thursday, May 28, an Eastpointe man allegedly damaged the door of the gas station after getting upset over a credit card hold.

An employee of the gas station reported to Birmingham police that the man came in upset about the hold, which he then explained was placed by the banks and not the gas station. The employee said the man became angry and pushed the door hard enough to cause damage to the hydraulic closer.

Birmingham police say an investigation is ongoing.
