Customer held pocketknife to woman's face

A woman who works in the 100 block of Townsend Street in Birmingham came into the lobby of the police department on Sunday, September 15, to report that she had had a knife held to her face the night before by a customer.

The victim, a 49-year-old female from Troy, reported the assault around noon on Sunday. She stated that while working the previous day, a disgruntled customer pulled out a pocketknife and held it to her face.

She said she did not know the suspect, but described him as a “middle aged male.”

Birmingham police are investigating.
