Customer punched by stranger at restaurant

A man from West Bloomfield was reportedly punched in the face twice by a stranger around 2 a.m. on Thursday, November 23, while he was out to eat with his friends at a restaurant on the 100 block of S Old Woodward in Birmingham.

According to witnesses, the stranger was with another man at Leo's Coney Island in downtown Birmingham. The man, who later told police that he was punched by the suspect as well, but did not want to press charges. Both men had cuts consistent with their stories, reported Birmingham police.

Police said they are investigating the incident.
