Daxton hotel guest victim of $15,000 in theft

A woman from Georgia staying at the Daxton Hotel in Birmingham, on the 200 block of S. Old Woodward, returned to her room and discovered several items missing from her hotel room around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18.


The victim said she had checked into the hotel two days earlier and realized her items were missing and reported it to hotel staff.


Reportedly, the items stolen were worth roughly $15,000.


Birmingham police report an investigation is ongoing.
