Detroit teen arrested in Birmingham on warrants

A traffic stop on a speeding vehicle led to the arrest of a 19-year-old Detroit resident after Birmingham police discovered he had outstanding arrest warrants from Detroit.


According to Birmingham police, an officer noticed a vehicle speeding at Woodward and 14 Mile Road on Monday, May 22, and after stopping the driver, was told by dispatch about the outstanding warrants.


The driver was arrested and transported to the Detroit Police Department.
