Diamond necklace reportedly stolen from home

A 40-year-old female resident of Birmingham came to the police department on Tuesday, February 25, to report that a $15,000 diamond necklace was stolen from her home in the 300 block of Fairfax.

The woman said she noticed the necklace was missing the previous day. She provided police with the names of several people who had access to her home and the area where the necklace was last seen.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
