Dicks Sporting Goods hit with theft of items

Bloomfield Township police on Thursday, February 19, at approximately 8 p.m., were dispatched to Dicks Sporting Goods located at 2105 S. Telegraph Road for a retail fraud that had just occurred.


Store employees stated that a Black female wearing all black stole miscellaneous Nike items and left in an unknown vehicle. Video surveillance showed a heavy-set Black female approximately 30-years-old entered the store at 7:57 p.m., selected three Nike items, and left the store without paying at 8:01 p.m. Approximately $340 worth of Nike apparel was stolen from the store.


The case has been turned over to the Bloomfield Township Police Investigations Unit. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
