Disorderly conduct charges for restaurant fight

At approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 17, Birmingham police officers on foot patrol saw multiple people fighting inside of a restaurant in the 200 block of S. Old Woodward Avenue and ended up issuing disorderly conduct citations to five people.

Several participants were injured and gave conflicting reports about events leading to the fight. While police were sorting things out, a second disturbance among some of the participants in the initial fight started on the sidewalk outside the restaurant.

Officers separated the suspects, who were screaming at each other and drawing a large crowd, and issued citations for disorderly conduct to five people: a 22-year-old Detroit man; a 30-year-old Dearborn man; a 30-year-old Clawson woman; a 31-year-old Sterling Heights man and a 28-year-old Dearborn Heights woman.
