Birmingham police officers were dispatched at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, to the 30000 block of Woodward Avenue for a subject who was disturbing the peace.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect, a 39-year-old male from Flushing, who appeared disturbed and was shouting that he was going to hurt people. The suspect was mumbling incoherently and was uncommunicative with officers, the police report said.

Witnesses reported the suspect was acting strangely and harassing people before going to his vehicle. The suspect was placed under arrest for disturbing the peace.

During the booking process, the suspect repeatedly threatened officers. The suspect was issued a misdemeanor citation for disturbing the peace.
