Driver arrested after fleeing from police

A 26-year-old man from West Bloomfield was arrested by Birmingham police on Friday, December 29, around 10 p.m. and charged with fleeing and eluding police


Birmingham police report that the man was one of two vehicles a patrol officer caught running a red light on southbound Woodward at 14 Mile. According to the police report, the officer tried to stop the second vehicle, which was trailing closely behind the first, but the driver refused to pull over.


The vehicle and driver were later spotted at a restaurant in Birmingham, leading the man to be taken into custody and charged with fleeing and eluding police.
