A driver being pulled over for an improper license plate near Woodward and Webster in Birmingham on Friday, May 15, was subsequently arrested after officers found drugs on her person and drug paraphernalia in her car.

The woman reportedly told officers that she did not have any identification on her when she was being pulled over, and the name she gave them didn’t turn up any records. This prompted officers to arrest her for obstruction, per Birmingham police, leading to the officers finding drugs on her person.

Police reported that the officers also found the paraphernalia and the woman’s identification inside the car. They were able to figure out that the woman had an outstanding warrant from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, leading them to arrest her for possession of drugs, obstruction, improper license plate violation and an outstanding warrant.
