After a Birmingham woman living on the 100 block of Millrace woke up to find someone had run into her garage door on Saturday, July 5, Birmingham police cited a Southfield woman who denied the claims she was the driver.

Per the police report, the driver crashed into the woman’s garage door around 2 a.m. Police were able to identify a suspect, a Southfield woman, who said she was visiting her brother who lived in the area. She reportedly denied hitting the garage door, but when officers saw her car they noticed damage to the front consistent with the accident.

The woman was given a citation for failing to stop at the scene of a property damage accident.
