Driver facing felony charges in accident death

Robert Isho of Troy was arraigned in 48th District Court on Wednesday, September 30, with reckless driving causing death in a May accident in Bloomfield Township that claimed the life of another driver.
The charge facing Isho is a 15-year felony and bond was set at $25,000 (10 percent).
On Saturday, May 30, at approximately 11:42 p.m., Birmingham Police and Fire, Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety, and Bloomfield Township Police and Fire responded to a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of southbound Woodward Avenue and Quarton Road.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 34-year-old Isho, was traveling westbound on Quarton Road at a high rate of speed. Isho disregarded a red traffic signal and struck two vehicles traveling southbound on Woodward Avenue: a 2026 Dodge Charger driven by a 28-year-old Troy resident and a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by a 30-year-old Farmington Hills resident.
The force of the collision caused the Camry to travel several hundred feet west of Woodward Avenue and caused the Jeep to catch fire. The driver of the Jeep was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The driver of the Toyota Camry suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Charger was not injured.
Speed and reckless driving are believed to have contributed to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
