Driver found with narcotics arrested

A driver from Sterling Heights was arrested in Birmingham around 1 a.m. on Friday, November 15, after a traffic stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine and marijuana in the car.

According to Birmingham police, officers patrolling at the intersection of S. Old Woodward Avenue and Daines Street saw a car being driven recklessly, so they decided to initiate a traffic stop. During that stop, the officers found out that the man had previously been arrested for narcotics activity.

They searched the car, finding the methamphetamine and marijuana, and placed the man under arrest. An investigation is ongoing, they reported.
