Driver placed under arrest for fleeing police

After attempting a traffic stop on Sunday, March 26, a driver of a motorcycle sped from police only to later be caught and arrested for taking off.

A Birmingham police officer on routine patrol on Woodward Avenue and Bowers Street saw a motorcycle speeding and attempted to stop the driver. The driver sped off, reportedly at 100 mph, only to later be confronted at his residence in Troy by Troy police.

The 28-year-old admitted to speeding away from the officer in Birmingham and was placed under arrest by Troy police for fleeing police.
