Drunk woman arrested for assault and battery

While inside the lobby of a business on the 200 block of S. Old Woodward in Birmingham on Monday, January 1, a woman from Southfield, allegedly intoxicated, was arrested for assault and battery and disturbing the peace.


According to a Birmingham police report, officers arrived on scene around 2 a.m. and tried to talk to the woman before she reportedly pushed them out of the way.


After the incident, police placed the woman under arrest and she was given a citation for the two misdemeanors.
