Early-morning fight at Birmingham restaurant

During the morning of Thursday, May 1, two men began fighting at a Birmingham restaurant located on the 100 block of North Old Woodward.
Birmingham police reported that witnesses saw the men arguing which escalated to a physical altercation after one of the men threw a croissant at the other man, who then punched him and pushed him to the ground.
Police state that the man who punched the other man was arrested and charged with assault and battery.
The name of a local business is never provided by Birmingham police.
