Birmingham police are investigating an alleged theft by someone posing as a parcel delivery driver after they stole an electric vehicle charger from a mailroom earlier this month.

According to the man who ordered the charger, a resident of the 200 block of Harmon, he had left the package in the mailroom while waiting for an electrician to install it. He went out of town on Monday, September 8, only to return the next day and find the package gone.

Birmingham police report that witnesses saw a parcel delivery driver enter the mailroom and leave with the box.
