Employee caught embezzling from business

An employee of a Birmingham business located on the 30000 block of Woodward Avenue was arrested on Tuesday, October 31, after his manager caught him embezzling money.

A Birmingham police report indicates that the general manager of the business called the police and said that the employee had been stealing money from the company. The employee, a 29-year-old male from Detroit, confessed to police which led to his arrest.

The total amount reportedly embezzled from the business reached $2,649.

Birmingham police report that he was later transported to Oakland County Jail after his arrest.
