Employee contracts for township approved

At the Bloomfield Township Board of Trustee meeting on Monday, March 9, trustees voted unanimously to approve six individual township employee contracts after a very brief closed session.
Employee contracts that were approved included the Bloomfield Township Police Chief, Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Operations Officer, Director of Finance and Budget and Director of Human Resources.Â
After their closed session, trustee Neal Barnett made the motion to approve the separation agreement as presented by the township attorney and authorize the township’s supervisor to execute the same agreement on behalf of the township. Trustees voted 7-0 in favor.Â
Clerk Martin Brook then went through each contract, with all being approved as recommended by the board, and authorized the clerk and supervisor to execute the contracts.
All contracts were approved as submitted, except for the assistant fire chief, which was approved with the revision of pay grade as recommended by the board..
