Bloomfield Township police were called to Target, located at 2400 S. Telegraph Road, on Saturday, April 4, for an employee embezzling merchandise who was eventually arrested and charged.

When officers arrived on scene, a 27-year-old female employee was being held by asset protection personnel. The Target team leader provided documentation which showed her embezzling 78 pieces of merchandise, totaling $1,314.63.

She was subsequently arrested and transported to the Bloomfield Township Police Department for processing. On April 6 a warrant request was submitted to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for embezzlement charges. A one count five-year felony for embezzlement was authorized.
