Employees’ cars ransacked in parking lot

Three employees working around the 2400 block of East Lincoln in Birmingham had their cars broken into on Sunday, October 15, between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m.

One of the victims told police that their rear window was open and they saw pry marks on the door, but didn’t notice anything actually missing from the car. Another employee had the outside of their car scraped along with one of the windows broken.

According to police, the third car had a broken window, a missing purse with $700 in cash, credit and debit cards, and ID stolen. The purse is believed to have been worth $2,000.

Birmingham police said an investigation is currently underway.
